Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7pm, Music Room

Director: Barb Savereide

Goals:
a) Teach a broad repertoire of literature which expands their skills and abilities to understand many kinds of music
b) To expand meters and utilize more complex rhythm patterns
c) To develop the ability to read and understand a musical score
d) To continue to develop strong singing skills with good breath support, posture, diction, pitch and range.

Program will include:
a) Variety of musical “styles” including songs with melodic ostinatos, descants, and harmonies (2 or 3 part)
b) Movement such as actions, sign language, and/or simple choreography
c) The use of rhythm instruments and/or hand chimes or bells when appropriate
d) Exposure to multiple voices or instruments while singing
e) Annual Choir Tour, Bake Sale, plus other fellowship opportunities.
