Peer Ministry Training

Peer Ministry training is an excellent opportunity for youth to gain leadership and faith skills. Those in peer ministry training will gain skills to help them reach out to those around them, including listening, questioning, non-verbal communication, how to welcome a stranger, and values and decision-making; all in the context of a Christian faith. You will have a chance to learn with and meet new people who share in your passion for ministry and leadership. Youth groups are encouraged to come and take part in this excellent learning experience together to enrich the ministry at your church.

High schoolers who have completed tenth or eleventh grade are eligible for Senior High Leadership Camp. Staff members will equip high-schoolers in ministry leadership skills such as leading Bible studies, songs, recreation, arts and crafts, and other activities. High schoolers will then have an opportunity to help with parts of our summer program, putting these leadership skills to use at day camps or staying on site as a counselor in training during their second week of camp. This is a great opportunity to see if you would like to be a future Camp Onomia staff member and to gain valuable leadership skills.
