The Card Ministry Committee
The card ministry committee send out cards weekly for a variety of needs to Immanuel’s members throughout the entire calendar year:
- Each month a volunteer sends out cards weekly to new names on the prayer list, all baptisms, new members, those who have lost loved ones and those who are marking the first anniversary of losing a loved one.
- We are a “bring it home” committee where volunteers simply pick up the card ministry box at the welcome center at the beginning of their month and drop it off at the end of the month. Cards are written weekly in the comfort of their homes and around their busy schedules!
- Our volunteers have the unique opportunity to share personal or scripture based reflections to those in need which can be an unexpected moment to touch a life.
- The card ministry program at Immanuel is a wonderful opportunity for all, particularly those who have the desire to volunteer their talents but feel they may lack the mobility or free time to extend themselves. We are a wonderful committee for seniors or members with young children.
A Personal Story:
"I have two young boys which at times can limit my opportunities for service. I have found this to be a wonderful way for me to feel connected to church and extend my talents while still having a crazy schedule at home. We are always looking for anyone interested to serve on this committee! Besides our monthly volunteers, there are also a handful of alternates needed to fill in when situations pop up."
If you are looking for an opportunity to share your talents but require flexibility and the independence to fit your service at Immanuel into your schedule, the card ministry team is the place for you!
