Overall Goals of the Immanuel Lutheran Children’s Choir Program:
- To provide meaningful Gospel messages through music, which enhance and lead Immanuel’s worship services
- To provide a fun and safe environment for children to grow in their faith, friendships and music
- To provide opportunities for music and fellowship with others at Immanuel and outside the church, (choir outings).
- To educate in Lutheran heritage by teaching traditional hymnody
- To coordinate with the education goals of the Children’s Ministries program.
Expectations/Guidelines for all Choir Members and Parents:
- To participate joyfully in all rehearsals and singing engagements.
- To be punctual to all rehearsals and singing engagements
- Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m
- Please be dressed and ready to sing 1/2 hour prior to singing engagement
- Please complete dinner and take your bathroom breaks prior to arriving
- To be respectful of others; the Director and your peers
- To practice and memorize your music as required by the Director.
- To support the choir with prayer and volunteer time when needed
- To contact the Director in advance to notify of absence from rehearsal or singing engagement.
