Faith Groups at Immanuel |
|
| Faith Groups are small support and fellowship groups that meet once a month to pray, join in informal faith study and discussion, and just enjoy each other’s company. The goal of this shared time together is to strengthen faith, families and relationships through support and encouragement of one another. |

Faith Groups are growing opportunities...
1. Growing in Faith Faith groups are centered in prayer, devotion, and the desire to help each other grow in faith.
2. Growing in Friendship Faith groups are friends who celebrate life’s blessings, share life’s frustrations and failings, and offer each other encouragment and care.
3. Growing as Families Faith groups offer people the opportunity to share the joys and challenges of family and share strategies for closer, Christ-centered families.
4. Growing as a Church Faith groups connect the people of a large congregation to a small group of caring friends where Jesus’ love is alive and lives are changed.
5. Growing as a Community Faith groups connect people to one another and grow a community of true neighbors, where practical help and care are given and recieved.
Faith Groups fullfill our mission... (Celebrate, Grow and Serve) in that we celebrate that God is with us as we gather in his name, we grow as christ works in us, equiping us for the work of family and friendship, and we serve one another as the Spirit works through us helping us share love and faith.
We all have different needs, concerns and questions regarding our life and faith. Faith groups provide an opportunity to gather with others who share the same needs, concerns and questions.
How do Faith Groups form? Groups are formed according to life circumstances and stages. There are groups for singles and single parents and for couples in each stage of family life. There is a group for you!
When do Faith Groups meet? Faith groups meet once a month and share guided discussion around a topic of common interest. Gatherings begin with a short devotion and prayer led by members of the group on a voluntary basis and close with time to share food and friendship.
Who leads a Faith Group? Groups are self led, deciding when and where to meet. Usually members host meetings in their homes and many groups gather more than once a month as ties of friendship grow.
Within these groups people of faith share the concerns and challenges of daily life and find strength, wisdom, encouragment and hope for faithful living.
