Welcome to the Kitchen Remodeling Site!

Use this site to stay up to date on the kitchen remodeling project as it progresses this summer.  Since the remodeling makes the kitchen off-limits to ensure everyone’s safety, we’ll try to update this site weekly to let you know what progress has been made and what work is planned.  Check this site periodically to see how the work is going!

·     Drywall, taping, and sanding completed

·     Walls primed

·     Make-up air unit was lifted onto the roof and placed on the curbs that were previously installed

·     Vent stacks for the dishwasher and hood were installed and wired

Work completed the week of Aug. 25th:

·     Tiling is underway and planned to be completed during this week – this is the major activity of the week.  Once this starts, it pretty much takes over the entire space.

·     Doors installed

·     FRP board installed

Here’s a preview of what is coming the weeks of Sept 1st and 8th:

·     Much of the equipment will be delivered, staged, and installed as it arrives

·     Hoods will be hung

·     Fire suppression system will be installed (this will likely take a couple of days to complete)

·     Range and convection oven will be installed

·     Cabinets will be installed the week of Sept. 1.  That will then allow us to measure for countertops so those can be fabricated to fit our measurements.

By the week of September 15th, we should have a substantial amount of the remodeling done.  We will continue to keep you posted on progress but the end is in sight.  It will be terrific to have a kitchen that meets the needs of our church available to us! 

Your faithful giving to this project allowed us to borrow less than we had originally anticipated.  The final loan amount for the kitchen remodeling was $97,500.  Thanks to everyone for your on-going support of this project!
