TEC Teens Encounter Christ

 “I am telling you the truth:  A grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies.  If it does die, then it produces many grains.” John 12:24

	What Is TEC? TEC is a peer ministry aimed at helping teenagers spend a few days immersed in God’s love.  During this time, they hear talks, two given by clergy, and seven given by other youth who have previously attended a TEC weekend.  These talks are geared towards sharing a personal perspective on how we experience God in our daily lives.  Along with these talks, the youth encounter prayer, worship, singing, food, sharing, fellowship, fun, and other activities which promote the idea that God truly does love us!
	Reasons to go to TEC: It is a spiritual experience It is a life-changing experience It is an amazing way to learn about your faith It is really fun And you will probably miss a Monday of school
	TEC is totally worth the work of adjusting your weekend schedule.  Talk to any of the more than 600 teens that have gone through it!

TEC is powerful if you sign up with a friend or go on you own (as many do).  It is a great place to meet new people!

TEC MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Minnesota Metro Lutheran Teens Encounter Christ is to draw young Christians together on retreats and additional activities to explore their faith, experience God’s love, and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through a dynamic and meaningful ministry with their peers.
